Renewal Project Standing Order
Our Renewal Project fundraising for the Building project is underway. Below is
a plan of how the fundraising could pan out in coming months. Please bear in
mind that events may change!
If everyone engages and gives it their best shot, not just by
donating money, but by supporting, promoting, owning individual events and just
generally inviting people along to things and generating excitement about what’s
happening, the target is reachable.
Where some ideas are in their raw state, we’d like people to step in and say:
‘I know how we can make this happen!’ or ‘I don’t think that’s going to work,
but here’s how it will!’

Totally off-the-wall idea that needs developing: Paper clip trade-upDid you hear about the guy who swapped a paper clip for a house? Read about
it here:
http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/
Kyle MacDonald traded one red paperclip for a house. He started with one red
paperclip on July 12 2005, traded up to a tie pin, then the tie pin for a badge,
and so on – 14 trades later, on July 12, 2006 he traded with the Town of Kipling
Saskatchewan for a house located at 503 Main Street.
How can we make something like this happen for us?
