Church Celebration

As many of you know the Baptist church in Albania is very young in age. The Way of Hope Baptist Church is considered to be one of the oldest churches in the country but we are only 8 years old! In fact on 16 February we will have a special service to mark our eighth anniversary. It is exciting to be young. We make mistakes but people are quick to forgive. We experiment with new ideas. Some work, some fail but we move forward. We have few resources and no place to call our own, but our hope has only just begun. Perhaps we will reach that adolescent stage, which churches often go through, but for now we’re enjoying what it means to be young.

 Family News

This summer we will be coming back to Britain for three months. This is for two reasons. Firstly, part of our work for BMS World Mission is to visit our churches in Britain that support our work here in Albania. Mat will be visiting churches and explaining more about our work in Way of Hope Church.

The second reason is that Hannah is pregnant again. The due date for the birth is 15 July.

Obviously we are both really excited by this news and look forward to being a family of four. As ever, we would value your prayers during these next few months, especially for Hannah’s health and well-being.
