This is what one person said about House of Prayer 2
"My church had this neat
event this week - I think it was called Prayer Week - where people can sign
up in hour-long slots to sit in the church and pray, read the Bible, or
whatever.
Since our schedule has
been so uncertain we didn't sign up ahead of time, but we decided to go this
evening and it just so happened that no one else was there. It was very
soothing. There were all sorts of wonderful things all over the chapel -
Bible verses posted on the walls, religious books in the pews to read if we
wanted, prayers posted on the walls, library books we could check out.
There was a rainbow on
the wall where people could write the names of those who need prayers.
Daddy, momma, Joe and I are on there. There was also a place to post things
you are thankful for. I put our wonderful support group of friends and
family (that means you).
And the baptistry was
open (no water of course) so we could walk into it and remember what it
means to be baptised. There was even a chair in the baptismal so you could
sit and think about it and prayers and Bible verses posted.
Out in the foyer there
was a desk where they had set up cleaning products and a bowl of water. It
was about sin. There were these little dissolving tablets. You could write
your sins on the tablets and watch them dissolve in the water. Perfect
symbolism. There were also craft projects and things for any kids who showed
up. Our hour went by very quickly. It was great."
