The Techie Team

The technical team at Bluntisham Baptist are Stephen Tall, Peter Lusmore and Gordon Pickard, dealing with computers,  sound and stage lighting, and anything else in between including projection of words etc in ‘PowerPoint’. 

Stephen Tall has been a member of the ‘techie’ team since he  was an early teenager and can deal with all aspects of sound, light and computers/projection. In fact the 32 channel sound desk we use belongs to Steve plus the stage lights in the ceiling in the main chapel. He works locally for a firm specialising in ‘step motor’ control.  He has ‘toured’ with Malachi Theatre Productions on several  productions plus many of the joint church services such as the  ‘Avent’. 

Peter Lusmore is the new boy to the team and his strong skill is computers, he works for Fujitsu. Peter is learning fast about sound reinforcement and stage lighting in order to be an ‘all  rounder’. 

Gordon Pickard started the ‘techie’ team off by building and installing the first sound system in the church in 1983, and has been modifying and improving it since then.  Like Steve, Gordon has also completed assignments with  Malachi Theatre Productions (his favourite being ‘Women  Aglow Conference’ held in Southport). 

As a team we try and attain professional standards at all times.  We are always looking for additional team members to help lessen the burden of having to operate the equipment every week, so if there are any budding ‘techies’ out there come and  speak to any of us.
