Church Administrator: Miriam Webb
Miriam Webb is our part-time Church Administrator more>. You can contact Miriam at: Miriam comes from Peterborough and lived there until she got married in 1996. She went to The Deacon’s School, Peterborough and worked in her parents' Christian bookshop from the time she could operate a till! Before going to University she had two 'year outs'! The first year was spent with The Crops Trust – a Christian Educational Trust committed to communicating and demonstrating Christian truth and life-style to young people. The second with her church setting up a youth outreach centre. During this time she found her own faith develop from inviting Jesus to live in her heart as child to being fully committed to trying to live her life, as He wanted her too. Miriam says “As a teenager, church was very much for Sundays as I got older I really wanted to know what Romans 12:2 meant for me: Don’t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is pleasing and perfect". She then went to University in Bangor, North Wales, where she studied Religious Studies and was involved in the CU as Treasurer and Prayer Sec. She then worked for Renewal magazine and Monarch Publications as a marketing, subscriptions, editorial, “anything that needed to be done” assistant! Miriam is married to Alan and has two children, Sam (born in 1998) and Rowena (born in 2001). Since getting married the family have lived in Tunbridge Wells and Water Orton, Birmingham. Alan is a youth worker and in March 2004 become the project co-ordinator for The Connections Bus Project –a drop-in youth club on a double decker bus for young people in villages around Cambridge more>. Miriam says “Before we moved to Bluntisham in March 2004 we had struggled in a church with no crèche and limited young children’s work. I was fed up with being the youth worker’s wife and was ready to use my experiences in whatever way I could. I never imagined I would end up in a church with excellent children's activities and me working as the church administrator!”. Favourite Bible Verse: Lamentations 3:22-24 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is your faithfulness. |
